I'll be out of town and with limited Internet access for the next week or so, so there will be a bit of a break from my shops of the day!
The posts should be back by the 8th or 9th so go find your own favorites until then!
Also, my rings now are being sold in a great new store in Old Town in Lansing!
If you're from the area or went to Michigan State, you've no doubt heard of Scavenger Hunt, which is packed full of all kinds of awesome vintage finds (and was owned by my partner in crime (Jay until a couple of years ago).
New owners Eric and Danielle Merckling now have opened a second store in Old Town, which features some vintage clothing, mostly focuses on earth-friendly, sustainable, re-purposed, recycled and reworked items.
If you live in the area or are heading to one of Old Town's many summer events (like Festival of the Sun, which always is fun), then stop by Scavenger Hunt Eco on Grand River Avenue just east of Turner Street.

Michigan Etsy Shops of the Day: Detroit
Detroit is a toughy because A) many people say they're Detroit who are actually elsewhere (and I'll get to you!) and there are many many shops in Detroit.
Here are just a few that caught my eye!

Michigan Etsy Shop of the Day: Clawson
Shop of the Day: LilacPop.
Janna has some of my favorite stuff out there right now. Not only is she an AMAZING photographer but she makes jewelry, knits, and does all kinds of other stuff (all while being a mom!) I had the pleasure of doing a show with her back in April.
I long for the day I come up with some extra cash to buy one of her necklaces made from the parts of a vintage cash register. Check out her shop (and her BLOG!)

Michigan Etsy Shop of the Day: Bloomfield Hills
Shop of the Day: Design by Byn.
There are several great shops in Bloomfield Hills and it was hard to choose, but something about my early '80s upbringing kept bringing me back to this shop. I can't help it -- I want to snuggle up with this robot...

Michigan Etsy Shops of the Day: Birmingham
There are several talented artists in Birmingham with Etsy shops and -- although there aren't dozens like other cities -- I think I have no choice but select two. I really like both of these artists for very different reasons.
Patrick Irla Jewelry. features exquisite jewelry -- sadly most of which I can't afford. BUT for those of you who can, I want to share it. It's truly beautiful.
HolloDesigns gives me a more affordable outlet to feed my stationary addiction.

Michigan Etsy Shop of the Day: Berkley
Shop of the Day: Forest Creations.
Although there were several amazing shops in Berkley to choose from, I ended up choosing Forest Creations. I like to think I randomly choose shops because I just get "a feeling." This time, the feeling may or may not have been this sailing bookmark.

Michigan Etsy Shop of the Day: Belleville
Shop of the Day: Grandpa's Workshop.
Here is some amazing woodworking from Bob, a grandpa of two who started toiling away in his workshop in 8th grade. I especially love the candlestick and I sort of wish my pile of apples was in the large bowl right now...
