Shop of the Day: smarley19. Actually -- I'm not sure if this is the name of the actual shop or not. There is only one item in the shop, but, as a nanny, I can attest that this is a great idea!
Check it out.

Michigan Etsy SHOPS of the Day: Ann Arbor
So, it seems choosing just ONE shop of the day for a city like Ann Arbor, where there are dozens and dozens of shops, proved to be too challenging. I couldn't even look at all of them, but I tried my hardest to narrow it down and came up with five amazing artists.

Michigan Etsy Shop of the Day!
I've decided to start a daily feature called the Michigan Etsy Shop of the Day!
Every day, Monday through Friday, I'll type in a Michigan city and choose my favorite from among the shops that pop up and will display one or more items.
Of course, there are some cities that will have a million shops and there's no way I'm going to make it through all of them. But I'll make it back to that city (not villages, townships, etc., just cities -- there are plenty!) eventually and will get to a different shop or item.
Even more -- I'm going to go in alphabetical order. Since I may do some of these posts ahead of time in the interest of actually MAKING SURE there is a post every day, I can't promise the items I highlight won't be sold by the time the post is up.
To see if your city has been featured or go back to see what I've featured in general, I will use the tags "Shop of the Day" and the name of the city, so you can search.
I just thought it would be a nice way to honor independent Michigan artists and crafters!
First up: Adrian
Shop of the Day: ABADesigns
Andrea's got some simple and beautiful original watercolors including this black and white one (I can't help it -- love black and white).
She also has hand-sewn pillow covers and hand-painted postcards, so check out her shop!

Loading up the shop for spring!
I had a great time at Spring Flint on Saturday in Ferndale -- great to see so many talented artists and crafters and to see so many people out shopping and supporting independent artists on a beautiful sunny day!
Last night I loaded up everything that didn't sell into my shop, which includes about 10 skeins of hand-dyed wool, a bunch of beer bottle cozies and even some leg warmers!
So, come on by and check them out. And remember, if you know someone who would like to have a baby blanket, shawl, or a coffee or beer cozy custom made in their favorite colors, I offer gift certificates in any denomination.
Thanks to everyone who came out this weekend -- I had a blast hanging out with Jay from Jennifer Joy Creative and Noonday Textiles.
And thanks to Shannon at Comfortably Lovely for organizing everything!
